Austin's Well Baby Visit

So, we took Austin for his doctor's appointment and it was quite interesting! He is in the 4th percentile for his weight and 9th percentile for his height! He is a tiny guy! I dont understand that though, because he is wearing 12 month clothes. He just doesnt seem that tiny to me! His lungs sounded fine and everything else checked out fine! The doctor was a little concerned that he scored a "0" on his gross motor skills and very low on his social skills evaluation(I still dont understand what that one is), but we will get someone to help us work on that! It is just the fact that he isnt pulling himself up and not cruising or trying to walk. He doesnt even have good balance. No worries, he will soon enough! We got a chest X-Ray and his lung on the left side was hyper inflated- which means it is doing exactly what it should be doing- it is compensating for the missing lobe. It is strong and healthy though! Over all, the boy is doing great, we will just work on getting him to walk in the next few months and he will be fine! He is a happy and funny baby and that is all that counts!
